Bernhard Nast's illustrations for Rotkäppchen from 1973 which I discovered through Italian illustrator Daniela Tordi.I have been unable to find anything further about Bernard Nast except that he was a German artist working in the mid 20th century.
He illustrated slovenian edition of Grimm’s fairytales (1960s), try browsing: Grimmove pravljice zbirka 10 knjig. These books contain his illustrations.
He also illustrated Langston Hughes' "The Best Of Simple", Hill and Wang, 1961. I have the 28th printing from 1986, so it seems that the book was popular for quite awhile
