An amazing book 'Le Petit Chaperon Chinois' (the Chinese Little Red Riding Hood) by Marie Sellier and illustrated by Catherine Louis, has two distinct characteristics; dense bold stencil prints and a concealed lace filigree of paper-cuts, which like a paper theatre lends itself to shadow play.
In this version of the story it is the grandmother that journeys through the forest to visit her granddaughters.
