Ana Batista

Fig 1,2,3 (above) Ana Batista, Capuchinho Vermelho

Ana Batista has produced a very fun, modern and surreal Red Riding Hood from collaged printed papers and magazine cuttings using a similar technique of magazine collage as Lydia Monks lovely elongated limbs and the poor wolf seems to loose his ears.

Hobby Wolf

My first illustration of the hobby wolf idea, made with collage, it is very abstract, however I am enjoying playing with the idea of these main protagonists being part of a folk costume/ performance tradition. The photographs are dark, sorry the light is poor here just now, I will try to get better at lunchtime.

Blanca Helga

Fig 1(above): Little Red Riding Hood by Blanca Helga
"Little Red Riding Hood" was one of my favourite classic tales when I was a child.  I remember asking my mother or my sister to tell me the story, again and again, and imagining it vividly and with great pleasure.I also remember drawing scenes of it, and visualizing the story. Now, working as illustrator I enjoy creating different characters in cardboard and collage, I call them "Paper Friends". It was impossible to not include one cardboard version of "Little Red Riding Hood" just for me to enjoy." Blanca Helga
